We are very enthused to hold our first BirthKeeper Summit in the public commons - Berkeley City College - where we will be within the space with the college students.
Instead of paying for food, like in a hotel or conference center, we will have the options of bringing our own food - brown bag it - and eat in the central sunny atrium together or go out for lunch and dinner in the neighborhood.
We are endeavoring to keep expenses as low as possible for the participation of the most people in the BirthKeeper Summit, 2015.
We want the pricing of the Summit to reflect our values and the value of what is being offered. We are suggesting a range of cost for each ticket. We have determined discounts for activists, organizers, birth professionals, couples/parents, self-employed, freelancers, non-profit employees, and those in need. We have determined subsidies for youth, Berkeley City College students, students, pregnant mothers and single mothers/fathers and speakers. There are 15 volunteer work partial-scholarships available for $50 for those who can work for the entire Summit.
Lapbabies are always welcome!
There will be tables available for brochures and cards for networking of all attendees. We will have time and meeting space available for Affinity groups. Tell us what kind of groups you would like to gather with in the registration process and volunteer to help facilitate the Affinity Group, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have determined a tiering of sponsorships for organizations and individuals to support others to attend the Summit and to sustain the financial well-being of the Summit.
We have tabling available for 1- 6 ft table, in the central atrium for the duration of the Summit. Each table allows one attendee, a second attendee fee is $75.There are three tiers of pricing. Only 22 tables are available. There will be 3 tables available for a three-way share per table- 9 vendors total. Tabling will begin Thursday afternoon, April 30, set up at 3 pm, extend all day Friday, May 1 through Friday evening and all day Saturday, May 2 through Saturday evening.
You are invited to attend the entire conference for no fee. This is a self-funded conference, ground-breaking, grassroots and cutting edge. We are keeping expenses very low for accessibility to your offerings (and to all the other 45 presenters too!) therefore we must be sustained by ticket sales.
There are hard costs for each workshop to cover the space rental and tech overhead, approximately $125 per workshop. Look under Full Conference: Subsidized Presenters (on the page to the left) with three levels of offering-$25, $75, $125. Or determine if you might register for the Summit for as much of the regular full conference fee (on the page to the left) as you can offer. Please do this as soon as possible before Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
You are invited to attend the entire conference for no fee. We hope that all panel speakers will participate in the entire conference and help in forming our BirthKeeper community and movement. We are very grateful for you sharing your Birthkeeper gifts, experience, knowledge and heart to this BirthKeeper movement.
We invite each panel speaker to determine if you might register for the Summit for as much of the regular full conference fee (on the page to the left) as you can offer.
We will be holding a crowdfunding campaign so donations can be given to defray costs of the Summit. If you cannot attend, please consider a donation to the Summt, in particular for our expenses for our plenary speakers. We welcome all those who would like to help support the Summit with fundraising and feet on the ground volunteerism. Contact email@example.com.
